ICFA Donates to Boy Scout Crew 419

boy scout logoOne year ago, in June of 2012, the ICFA board approved a new Community Outreach Program, allowing board members to select charities in their communities to receive donations from ICFA of up to $5,000.

To date, contributions in that amount have been made to the Southeast Women’s Organization  St. John the Baptists School, the Lynwood Disaster Relief Fund, and the South Gate Junior Athletic Association.

We are excited to announce that the total amount donated from ICFA to local charities has now reach $25,000 as another donation has been made to Boy Scout Crew 419. The troop is based out of South Gate, California and is hosted by the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. For over a century, they have helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Nomination to receive the donation was made by Mike McCormick, ICFA President and Mayor of the City of Vernon.
