ICFA’s Partnership with Alliance College-Ready Public Schools

The Los Angeles Unified School District is the second largest school district in the nation, serving almost 700,00 students. In an effort to support Los Angeles students, ICFA is working with the non-profit Alliance College-Ready Public Schools to open and operate a network of small, high-performing public charter schools in historically underachieving, low-income communities.

One year ago, in November of 2011, ICFA issued over $15 million in bonds to fund the construction of a 50,000 square foot middle/high school serving a community with a 37% poverty rate.

We are excited to announce that as of this fall, the students at Alliance College-Ready Middle Academy #5 as well as the Alliance Susan & Eric Smidt Technology High School (formerly Alliance College-Ready Academy High School #14) have moved into their new classrooms.

Here at ICFA, we couldn’t be happier to know that eager minds have a new place to thrive and we look forward to working with Alliance College-Ready Public Schools on future projects.
