ICFA Supports Augusta Communities

AugustaAt the August 14, 2013 ICFA Board of Directors meeting, the board approved a $90,000 loan to Augusta Communities LLC, a non-profit public benefit corporation.

The loan will enable Augusta Communities to acquire and install new mobile homes. The funds will also enable the community to rehabilitate and improve upon vacant spaces that will then be made available for rent or sale to the public.

“ICFA’s support has helped us to provide affordable housing opportunities for lower income seniors in the City of Yucaipa,” said Suzanne Taylor, Executive Director of Augusta Communities. “The lack of bureaucracy within their organization facilitated a quick turnaround on our loan. We appreciate their dedication to non-profit organizations like ours.”

Augusta Communities is a California non-profit housing organization that was founded in 1998 to provide affordable housing opportunities for households of modest means through the acquisition, rehabilitation and preservation of existing mobilehome park communities. Augusta Communities serves over 750 households with over 2,000 residents.
